Salto began in 2019 by Seattle native and lifelong maker/artist/designer Sidney Ann Field. "Salto" means "flip" - it's a little nod to her formative years as a gymnast, when being upside down felt so right. (She even competed for the University of Washington women's gymnastics team way back when.)

A graphic designer by trade, Sidney's background is in product development for home, tabletop, gift, party ware and personal accessories. She gets very excited just thinking about making things and seeing them come to life.
